With a procurement background of 20+ years, Kendra Burris-Austin started her supplier diversity career at Ameren.
She grew the business and corporate services departments through relationship building, bringing a fresh outlook to existing structures while contributing to programming.
In 2014, Express Scripts hired her to build out their nascent diversity program.
She began with a 3 year strategy that included gaining executive sponsorship, creating corporate goals and aligning with business lines. With a team of two, she has built a sustainable program that is rapidly picking up speed.
She currently serves on the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council, is Chair of the St. Louis Minority Business Council and also sits on the Woman’s Business Development Advisory Council.
