Kent is the Senior Policy Analyst with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).

Kent’s 26-year DOE experience encompasses advancing energy technologies, small business procurement policies and practices, and technology transfer initiatives. In OSDBU, Kent reviews small business policies relevant to DOE, and updates the Department’s small business policy guidance.

He also ensures DOE program elements are outfitted to meet or exceed statutory socioeconomic small business procurement goals and business-growth measures and helps formulate small business policy as the OSDBU representative on the FAR Small Business Team.

Kent’s other career highlights include helping create the DOE Technology Transfer Execution Plan and the DOE Technology Transfer Secretarial Policy Statement, within the DOE Office of Technology Transitions.
